Oshi Health is revolutionizing GI care with a digital clinic model that provides easy, convenient access to an integrated and multidisciplinary care team that takes a holistic approach to diagnosing, managing and treating digestive health conditions.  We take time to get to know each patient, develop a personalized, whole-person care plan that includes identification of symptom triggers and prescription of evidence-based interventions, including medications, dietary changes, and mental health support.  Our care is delivered virtually through our app, secure messaging, and telehealth visits.  When in-person diagnostics or procedures are needed, we take a concierge approach and coordinate access, care and follow up with local providers.


We are seeking a Clinical Operations Learning & Development Specialist to design and lead the training and continuing education initiatives for the Clinical Operations department. This role will report to the Director of Clinical Operation and will also work very closely with the Vice President of Clinical Operations and the Senior Director of People Operations. 


What you'll do:


  • LMS Management:  Serve as primary contact and leverage unique resources to drive engagement in learning and development resources across the Clinical Organization within the learning management platform. Support managers and employees with successful implementation and integration of the learning management system. 


  • Subject Matter Expertise: Establish self as a subject matter expert in key systems, workflows, and processes to enable ownership of the onboarding process for new team members. Must be willing to learn and dive deep into our platforms and systems to establish resources and tools to support both current and future team members with effective and efficient utilization. 


  • Coordinate and collaborate cross functionally: Take the initiative to develop and implement organizational-wide training and workshops to guide professional growth and development, ensure alignment across the organization, and establish a learning library for ongoing reference and support.  Additionally, identifying opportunities to leverage other team members with subject matter expertise to facilitate trainings and/or workshops to drive learning within and across the organization. 


  • Onboard new team members:  Establish onboarding plans in partnership with key stakeholders and new employees. Build and create training content for learning management system, refreshing content and materials as needed, and conduct live trainings as appropriate. 


  • Ongoing Development: Work-cross functionally to develop training for product enhancements that impact clinical team workflows and processes. Develop training materials (slide decks, step by step workflows, visual guides) that translate business and technology concepts into dynamic, impactful, and easily understandable content.  Deliver trainings to the clinical organization on improvements/changes in patient and provider technology platform and systems. 


  • Establish Learning & Development Calendar: In partnership with Clinical Leadership Team, develop a strategic plan for education of clinical staff, including, but not limited to: learning labs, lunch and learns, in-service trainings, and conferences.

  • Strong organizational skills - Ability to oversee, manage and effectively prioritize multiple projects to drive improvement in business results
  • Self starter and willingness to take initiative with minimal direction
  • Creativity, adaptability and sensitivity for providing trainings that accommodate diverse learning styles

What you'll bring to the team:


  • Track record of success and career growth in learning and development in healthcare, preferably working within a healthcare delivery (i.e. provider) organization or multidisciplinary care teams
  • Must understand clinical concepts and translate protocols that can be easily understood and implemented across the clinical team.  Medical training or credentials are a plus, but not required.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience with onboarding and training healthcare professionals. Motivational Interviewing experience is preferred. 
  • Conversant enough in technology/product development to communicate and train clinical staff on technical concepts and workflows
  • Thrive in an entrepreneurial environment, comfortable with ambiguity, and confident in making decisions with a passion for challenging the status quo in healthcare 
  • Operate with high integrity and accountability for results
